Λίγα tips για την επόμενη φορά που θα βρεθείτε στην πανέμορφη Λακωνική Μάνη
-Αν και το καλοκαίρι είναι εξαιρετική εποχή για να πάτε, είναι γεγονός πως η τουριστική περίοδος στην περιοχή είναι συρρικνωμένη που σημαίνει να έχετε στο μυαλό σας ότι κάποια από τα μπαράκια ή τα μαγαζάκια ακόμα και ταβέρνες μπορεί να τα βρείτε και κλειστά.
-Δοκιμάστε (και πάρτε μαζί σας) αυθεντικό μανιάτικο σύγκλινο όπως και λουκάνικό με πορτοκάλι που φτιάχνεται εκεί. Πολύ ωραίες οι ελιές, θυμαρίσιο μέλι και βότανα.
-Γενικά οι θάλασσες -προς έκπληξή μου-, δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα κρύες όπως και δεν είναι ιδιαίτερα βαθείς.
-Αν και το Πόρτο Κάγιο είναι τόσο γνωστό οφείλω να ομολογήσω πως δεν βρήκα το λόγο… Βέβαια υπάρχουν αρκετά περιποιημένα μαγαζιά απέναντι από την παραλία που ίσως πραγματικά να είναι λόγος να φτάσεις μέχρι εκεί. Δυστυχώς ο χρόνος ήταν λίγος και δεν πρόλαβα να δοκιμάσω.
-Οι δρόμοι σε γενικές γραμμές είναι καλοί αν και έχουν αρκετές στροφές. Στα περισσότερα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος θα πάτε χωρίς ιδιαίτερο πρόβλημα. Σε κάποια σημεία προκείμενου να φτάσετε θα χρειαστεί να μπείτε σε δρόμους κακής βατότητας αλλά και πάλι όχι κάτι υπερβολικό.
-Οι τιμές σε γενικές γραμμές ειδικά για περιοχή με τουριστικό ενδιαφέρον είναι καλές προς οικονομικές, τόσο στο φαγητό, το ποτό και τον καφέ όσο και στην παραλία (ξαπλώστρες κτλ). Σε καλό επίπεδο είναι και εκείνες της διαμονής.

-Για να μπείτε στα σπήλαια Διρού, να πάτε πολύ νωρίς για εισιτήριο γιατί διαφορετικά δεν θα βρείτε. Προσωπικά έφτασα στον κεσέ 08:30 και είχε ήδη μια μικρή ουρά που εξελίχθηκε μέσα σε μισή ώρα σε τεράστια! Βέβαια εξαρτάται και από την περίοδο που θα πάτε. Τα δρομολόγια ξεκινούν περίπου στις 10:30 μέχρι τις 19:00.
