Στο Μιλάνο πήγαμε κάποιες λίγες μέρες με την ευκαιρία της διαμονής μας στο Μπέργκαμο αφού η απόσταση για το Μιλάνο είναι μόλις 51 χλμ.
Οπότε αν υπάρχει αυτοκίνητο μια βόλτα στην “πρωτεύουσα” του ιταλικού βορρά επιβάλλεται χωρίς καν να χρειαστεί να διανυκτερεύσετε εκεί! Όλα “συμβαίνουν” στην Piazza del Duomo και γύρω από αυτή, με σήμα κατατεθέν φυσικά τον τεράστο φημισμένο καθεδρικό ναό, με μια πολύ μεγάλη ουρά ανθρώπων να σχηματίζεται στην είσοδό του με μέσο όρο αναμονής περίπου τις 2 ώρες! 
Γι’ αυτο καλό είναι να έχετε κλείσει τα εισιτήρια σας ηλεκτρονικά, πριν φτάσετε (ει δυνατόν για όλα τα αξιοθέατα που θέλετε να επισκεφτείτε) πράγμα που δεν έκανα εγώ…γιατί και τον χρόνο σας θα γλυτώσετε αλλά περισσότερο θα αποφύγετε να περιμένετε μέσα στο αφόρητο κρύο…
Πάντως μπαίνοντας, από την πρώτη στιγμή, η αναμονή αξίζει κάθε δευτερόλεπτο. Ο γοτθικός, χαοτικά μεγάλος και αναπόφευκτα χαοτικός ναός, με 45μ. ύψος καθηλώνει με την μεγαλοπρέπεια του!
Το εισιτήριο περιελάμβανε επίσκεψη στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο (είναι σε υπόγειο χώρο του ναού), όπως και ανάβαση στην ταράτσα (με ανσασέρ ή από τη σκάλα, εμείς ανεβήκαμε με τα πόδια τα… 164 σκαλιά!) και τώρα πιστεύω ότι το ανσασέρ είναι καλύτερη ιδέα. Η θέα με όλο το Μιλάνο πιάτο, από την κορυφή του ναού είναι τουλάχιστον εκθαβωτική!
Info: Επίσης στο εισιτήριο περιλαμβάνονταν η επίσκεψη στο Duomo museum και στην εκκλησία San Gottardo. Μάλιστα η κάρτα έχει ισχύ 3 ημερών προκειμένου να επισκεφτείτε τα αξιοθέατα, τη βγάζετε από το ταμείο στο ταμείο του μουσείου Duomo και κοστίζει €12 αν ανεβείτε στην κορυφή του ναού από τη σκάλα και €16 αν ανεβείτε με το ανσασέρ. Υπάρχουν διαφόρων ειδών εισιτήρια πάντως ανάλογα με το τι θέλετε να δείτε.
Χαρακτηριστικά ήταν επίσης τα πολλά ξύλινα κιόσκια “απλωμένα” στην πλατεία που συνολικά σχημάτιζαν μια ομοιόμορφη υπαίθρια αγορά με λογιών λογιών προϊόντα από ιταλικά τυριά και αλλαντικά μέχρι παιχνίδια, βιβλία και αξεσουάρ. Κατά τ΄άλλα ήταν εντυπωσιακό πόσο πολύ κόσμο είχε αν και το κρύο ήταν υπερβολικό. 
Ανεξάρτητα από το πολιτιστικό και ιστορικό ενδιαφέρον του κέντρου της πόλης, το πρώτο πράγμα για το οποίο είναι γνωστό το Μιλάνο και διαπίστωσα ιδίοις όμμασι από την πρώτη στιγμή, είναι η μόδα.
Το Μιλάνο είναι ανάμεσα στους παγκόσμιους top fashion προορισμούς με τους κεντρικούς δρόμους του να γεμίζουν οίκοι διάσημων σχεδιαστών και καταστήματα των μεγαλύτερων παγκοσμίων brands μέχρι πασίγνωστες παγκόσμιες αλυσίδες. Το σίγουρο είναι πως εκτός από οτιδήποτε άλλο κάνετε στο Μιλάνο, η πόλη προσφέρεται για αγορές…
Ανεξάρτητα λοιπόν από το budget σας, να έχετε κατά νου ότι δεν γίνεται να μην μπείτε στον πειρασμό να ψωνίσετε.
